PART 1: GET READY

This will take anywhere from 3-5hrs, but you can do it in bits and pieces at your convenience. Just make sure you complete all the things below at least two weeks before you leave.

  • Buy materials (atomizer, oils) to make a smell that reminds you of being by the ocean -  experiment until you get it just right! Write down the combination and ratios you like best so you can make more later.

  • Make a date for a send off ceremony with Leo & Vandy & Truman (and anyone else in your quaranteam that you want to be there), any time between 1 day to 1 week before you leave. The ceremony will be roughly 1 hour and will ideally take place outside by the fire pit.

  • Choose a ukulele song that you want to learn that makes you feel happy, uplifted and energized... and start practicing the chords!

  • Start collecting items to join you on your journey. These items could be magazine clippings, pictures, objects you find in nature, fabric, figurines, jewelry, crystals, etc. Size-wise, each item should fit easily in the palm of your hand. Seek out items that remind you of:

    • Happiness. Clarity. Inner Joy. Peace.

    • Removing yourself from fear and uncertainty, being grounded.

    • A melting feeling, relaxed muscles, nothing tense. Ease. The moment right before falling asleep.

    • Children laughing.

    • Feeling safe, held, heard, supported, nurtured. Compassion. "I've got you."

  • As a part of your daily journaling practice, include this prompt: “Home is ______” Write, draw, or haiku your answer.

  • Find some time to write down all the things (baggage, fears, insecurities) that you will NOT be bringing with you on your journey home on a piece of paper or multiple pieces of paper.

  • Start making a playlist (at least 5 songs but the more the better) for your roadtrip.

*Part 2 will require two uninterrupted hours of you sitting in your banquet window at your favorite time of day. Set a time in your calendar to do that will feel the most luxurious and least stressful. Don’t plan anything immediately after so you don’t feel rushed or distracted.
